Friends of West Rise Junior School

We are a registered charity run by parents and staff.

All our staff, parents and carers are automatically members of the Friends.

Together we raise funds for the school and support events like the Carol concert.

We hold regular events to raise funds including discos, Christmas and Summer fairs and sponsored events or mufti days.

How we use the funds

We purchase items for the school to improve play facilities and the school environment. In the past these included: 

  • the adventure trail
  • picnic benches
  • books for the library
  • digital cameras
  • televisions and audio equipment

Every year the Friends pay for a theatre company to visit so all the children can see a pantomime at school.

How we use the funds

We need a wide variety of skills to be able to run events, from social media, events organising and treasurer, to running stalls, helping at discos and getting prizes.
